Life Cycle Diagrams (10%) As you study the feeding guilds of insects it is most useful for you to prepare a life history diagram (explained in Lesson 6). This would show the times of year when you would expect to ï¬nd each life stage as well as where you would expect to ï¬nd it. You will be able to add to the diagram information on survey times and techniques and to indicate when management options can be implemented. You will be required to submit seven of these life history diagrams. The objective of creating the life cycle diagrams is to summarize as much information about the studied insects as possible. Inside the circle will be the details of the biology of the insect so you know which stage is present at what time of the year. Outside the circle you can indicate management strategies including stages of the insect that can be sampled as well as the optimal time to carry out any control activity. You are required to submit 7 diagrams that you have created in doing lessons 7-13. Submit no more than one life cycle diagram from any lesson. (Lesson 6-13 are attached here) you will submit diagrams for no more than two of the insects studied in each of the lessons from 7 through 13. Worthwhile additions to the diagrams include information concerning host(s), survey times and techniques, and management options and considerations.
