PEQUIVEN is a Venezuelan company that produces and trades petrochemical products with a priority to cover the national market and opportunity to export. This company has 3 petrochemical complex through nationwide. One of them is the Petrochemical Complex “Ana Maria Campos”, located in “la costa oriental del Lago de Maracaibo del Estado Zulia”. This complex has an installed capacity of 3,5 MMTMA Olefins, plastic resin, vinyl and nitrogenous fertilizer. Also, from natural gas and salt, three lines of products are strategically created to supply the country. Several plants divide the company and departments (see organization chart) and one of them is the Olefins production plants, which I was hired for about two months as a process engineer specialists in simulation.

Due to the constant changes produced in the process to obtain the final product, PEQUIVEN made a simulation platform that allowed acquiring a wide knowledge in the process behavior involve in the Olefins plant 1.  I had to accomplish as a Process engineer the following task:

·         Identify the operation variables that take part in the process of the Olefins plant 1, through a complete search of blueprints in plant.

·         Develop the simulation in stable state in the plant through design, operational and mechanical data.

·         Validate the simulation performance with real data from the plant.

·         Elaborate periodic reports and presentations of simulation performance in the plant.
