The length of the channel requiring maintenance is approximately 700m; the channel width is 200m. 2) Dredging of a new navigational channel to access the Port of Geelong (see Figure 1). The new channel is expected to be 8.76km long (for simplicity, assume a straight line) and 200m wide. To ensure a safe under-keel clearance, a layer of sediment (sand and mud) of approximately 1m has to be removed. Your task is to provide a detailed management plan for these operations.
