Research Aim : To examine the existing culture at an undisclosed company refer as ‘ABC; and assess the overall performance factors measured against attitudes and perceptions of workers leading to employee commitments. Research Objectives : The objectives set out in relation to the subject area chosen for dissertation are the following expected learning outcomes: • to gain a better understanding of the influencing factors of organization culture that significantly influence different situations in an organization. • to identify role of culture in the improvement of overall employee performance. • to critically review previous research literature on organization culture • to identify the characteristics and all other related aspects of different cultures. • to identify factors impacting upon the culture of an organization. • to discuss and evaluate quantitative and qualitative methods and tools used for assessing culture. The specific objective set for this proposed study is to examine the improved performance by assessing organizational culture & practices in an undisclosed company. The research will begin with an extensive literature review to familiarize myself with the concept of culture within an Organization context. The initial review of literature on workplace has revealed that much of the subject has been covered in different parts of the world. Several journal articles, papers, books and case studies discussing the role of culture in improving overall situation. This was due to an increase of interest in the concept of culture since eighties after investigation analysis of some of the catastrophic incidents. After understanding of correlation between culture and performance of organizations and related concepts based on the literature review I will present my findings in a digestible form. The discussion will start from the identification of influencing factors that significantly improve the situation in an organization; then the role of culture in the improvement of performance will be explored in detail. All the related aspects of culture including its’ identified types/characteristics will be presented. Then the factors affecting the culture of organizations will be discussed. The later phase, It will be examined the improved performance by assessing organizational culture & practices in an undisclosed company. There are many approaches and methods which are utilized to assess the culture of any organisation which will be discussed and one or more will also be used in the said company for evaluation of the culture of the company.
