The subject that I'm taking is Music psychology and the topic of the assignment is Evaluation of a personal music experience from a research perspective. The assessment consists of three parts;
Select an experience from your life where music has a strong impact on you. Describe this experience briefly (<300 words).
Explain how this experience might be better understood with reference to the research presented in one of the lectures. Conduct a literature review of that topic and use this material to compare your own experience with the empirical evidence. (<1200 words, drawing on at least 8 pieces of literature/evidence. Referencing can be in ANY style, as long as you are consistent - APA6, Harvard, Vancouver, etc..)
Suggest future research that might be useful to extend our understanding on such experiences.
Successful integration of the literature to support personal position
Appropriateness and relevance of suggestions for future research
Clarity of expression.
Please note: It allows 10% either side of the word limit for essays, and the bibliography/reference list is not included in the final word count. Please include the final word count on the front page of your essay.
The lecture that I chose is 'Music and Adolescents'.
* I attached slides that are related to the lecture and sample writings(Music and identity)
*I wrote some of part 1 of the assignment but did not complete them all.
