The Sprout's Foundation (TSF) is a charity organization which is highly active in child welfare activities in Asia-Pacific. The organization strives to provide the children in marginalized communities a fair go at life and at the same time actively participate in the development of their regional communities too.
The organization is primarily an Australian company and is categorized as a two-tier organization. The organization oversees the small scale/cottage industries in the communities they are working on and represent them on a global scale where their products are exported, imported and sold by TSF's partner. TSF also ensures that the children of these communities receive proper education by providing them with books, uniforms, food etc.
All these activities result in TSF responsible for an amount of A$230 million turn over a year. The company also sees a positive growth each year despite the financial crisis worldwide. Despite the strong competition and poor economy, things have been working really well for TSF. That doesn't mean that it will stay like that forever.
TSF being a charity organization spread across various countries, is exposed to a wide range of risks. It ranges from financial, technical, legislative, operational, environmental and many more. By this project we aim to identify and deal with these risks and help the organization operate in a safer and effective manner.
The task is to produce a business report addressing the above requirements. It is important to note that the use of established standards, frameworks and best practice in the process is highly valued and sought after by the senior executives.
