The number of the internet users are increasing everyday that has lead to the increase of the use of the social media in the past decade. The usage has grown tremendously from the individuals to the business and corporations. Social media is being used by many business corporations to communicate with millions of potential customers and repeat consumers. Service sector for example: - hospitality industry is continuously changing their marketing strategies and choosing the social media platform to communicate with their guests over the traditional marketing methods. This research takes into consideration the effects of the social media on the hospitality industry and the impact of the new marketing vehicle has effected the customers’ decision making and brand loyalty.
Research question: - Impact of the social media on Hospitality Industry.
-What are the effects of social media on the hotel industry in Copenhagen?
-Is there significant relationship between social media and brand awareness and loyalty?
Aim of the research is to analysing the effects of social media on hospitality industry and study the effects of the social media on the marketing strategies in Hospitality industry from the perspective of customers and management.
To use and apply a case study research method on corporate businesses to investigate and see how social media as a key marketing tool benefit their business and make it a well-known for their customers. The research is also intended to collect data through observation, documentation review and published information (a company website) about the selected business and statically look at how the development of those companies how they have changed with the use of social media. (Did social media help them to make a better sale nowadays than in the past when there was no social media)
In order to meet the research aim and objectives, the research questions can be stated as:
