Assignment Objectives: The module assessment is designed to enable learners to demonstrate achievement of the innovation related learning outcomes for the module as set out above through coursework. The initial element of the module assessment consists of an individual innovation assignment researching the innovation management approach of a specific international organisation chosen by the student. Requirement Details of assignment brief . For the purposes of the assignment, each student is required to adopt the role of an external innovation consultant reporting to, and advising, the Board of Directors of Company. The student should research and select an organization they have previously worked with or have inside knowledge of. The student should complete an analysis of the company using the self assessment tool . Based on the insights from this exercise, the student is asked to make a succinct recommendations for the improvement of Innovation Management Systems and procedures in the organisation. Specifically, the board has asked you to make observations and recommendations for their consideration. The assignment deliverable is as follows: A formal written 750 word report addressing the requirements specified below (100 marks) The assignment must be submitted in electronic format using Moodle. It is the students’ responsibility to ensure that their submission is accessible, and to keep an electronic copy of it in a separate storage device. The report to the Board of Directors should contain the following: 1. The section of a company or organisation which the student is familiar with. The completion of the self assssment tool for this single organisation /company (40 marks); and 2. The student’s conclusions and recommendations for the adoption of improved innovation management by chosen company (60 marks).
