This needs to be an executive summary including conclusions of the thesis consisting of 1250 words, referencing in Harvard style, with approximate 10-15 references, to be written in UK English only. The report needs to be persuasive in the language used and it needs to be written as though you were addressing management or organisation. Description of 'Executive Summary': Executive Summary performs the same function as an abstract and the intention is to encourage the reader to read the full report. The executive summary provides an overview of the results and is written in such a way as to tempt the reader to read the whole report and encourage them toward accepting some or all of your recommendations. It should tell the reader what you looked at, why you looked at it, how you went about it and what were the key findings, conclusions and recommendations are. What to put into an executive summary: 1. Open with a positive statement. 2. Clarify the issue that was studied. 3. Explain why this was being done (what need did you perceive and how was the need identified) (or even an individual manager). 4. Set out how it was done (your research method, access, and an outline of circumstances of the study, the people in the study and the limitations of the research). 5. Clearly set out the results/ findings of the research ensuring that they are based upon the evidence that you have presented. 6. Present a set of conclusions that are based upon that materials you have already presented.
