Through this project, you will be responsible for the creation of your own unique individual. You will detail their journey of lifespan development from pre conception through death. Creativity and depth are critical for this project as you are expected to discuss the individuals developmental processes, milestones, influences, and circumstances that occur throughout their entire lifespan. This is to include all aspects of development (physical, emotional, cognitive, etc.) as well as important life events (birth, infancy, school, social relationships, marriage/procreation- if applicable, employment, loss of important others, death, etc.) occurring in all stages of the life cycle. Beyond the creation of the “biography”, you are also expected to discuss their development through evaluation using theories (Piaget, Vygotsky, Behaviorism/social learning, etc.) discussed in class as well as the textbook. You will use your textbook for one reference, and you must also have two other scholarly citations. References must be appropriately cited both in the text of the paper, and in a works cited page at the end of the paper. This project is worth 100 points and will be due at the end of the semester (see course chart for specific date). This can be written in either first or third person, and can be in either APA or MLA format. This paper should be approximately 8-10 pages, double spaced, size twelve font. Start early, ask questions, and don’t wait till the last minute!
