There are high risk factors associated with the operation of business critical applications and services on dedicated hardware if no contingency plan exists. Virtualisation significantly reduces this risk by allowing the provision and maintenance of virtual servers without any disruption to activity or performance. The isolation achieved by virtualisation also allows rapid test and deployment to evaluate software or configurations prior to installing them in a production environment.
I have been contracted by Forest Cove to design a more cost effective solution in efforts to improve hardware efficiency and reduce ongoing expenses while also accommodating for future infrastructure requirements.
