The research project is an attempt to understand the concept and understand employee’s attitude towards Employee Engagement within a selected organisation. This dissertation is an attempt to highlight the attitude of the Employee Engagement in relation to the concept of Human Capital Management. The data collection was based on survey carried out by the researcher on employee engagement within M&S Luton Store. Employee engagement survey report by CIPD 2006 is used to determine the engagement level in the UK and used as a benchmark while measuring employee engagement level at M&S Luton Arndale store.
The purpose of the research is to understand the current working situation that includes employee’s emotional aspects such as their feelings towards the role, amount of effort given completing tasks, the level of employee satisfaction influenced by co-workers, managers and the environment. The aim of the research project is to measure employee engagement level and looking at the areas where improvement can be made to increase overall satisfaction working in the organisation.
