Suggested length about 800 to 1,000 words. If you think you need more than 1,000 words, chances are you don’t. Include only what’s relevant to the proposal. Don’t include everything about the topic. Don’t write a long, rambling essay. Target what you write to your research proposal.
A summary or conclusions, or both, saying what we’ve learnt from all you’ve written, is essential for this section to score a high mark.
Must be stated as question. If you are writing a set of questions you probably shouldn’t. If you are writing statements rather than questions, you definitely shouldn’t. Delete this text.
Must describe a target population. Use inclusion or exclusion criteria, preferably both, as applicable. Include the planned sample size, preferably with sample-size calculations if applicable, quantitative research only. Omit exclusion criteria that are logical opposites of the inclusion criteria.
