To demonstrate the use of emergent technologies for research, monitoring and evaluation of social media activities Task: Conduct a social media audit on one of the following organisations: Nexus Arts Families4Families Your uni Comm subject and Media Studies Note:You may be able to use your current organisation, but this will need to be cleared with the Course Coordinator at least two weeks before the due date. The purpose of the audit is to analyse the social media presence and performance of the organisation in order to inform improvements in how it connects with its online communities. The report is to contain key recommendations that will be used in the planning for a social media strategy in Assignment 2. You will need to research and assess various social media auditing approaches and implement what you feel is the most effective in providing detailed information to inform the next phase of strategic planning. In doing so, you will be expected to consider the: principles of online communities, tools available for listening, monitoring, and measurement, and theoretical implications of the organisation’s social media presence. To assist in your task, some data from the organisation’s social media sites is provided below. You will need to analyse this, but also need to find more data from other online search activities. If you are using your own organisation, you will need access to the adminstrative information/analytics. Format: The format of the audit is to be based on the Report Template provided in the Assignment 1 tab on the course website, but should be modified where appropriate. The report should have a professional layout and be ready for presentation to the CEO of the organisation. Appendices may be a useful way of presenting the detailed data that you use, but the information should be discussed in the report itself. Referencing: All third-party material that is used in the completion of the report (such as academic references and online sources) are to be appropriately cited within the text of the report. Two main methods can be used: Footnoting (e.g. Chicago style) or the Hard Referencing Style. You can access Uni guide to referencing here.
