The purpose of this essay is to explore the importance of stigma in people with mental illness and offenders and what are the evidence based practice that can be recommended for nurses in forensic mental health. I would like you to capture the historical theories of stigma and criminal offending behaviours (such of that of Lebroso, Merton etc) - I have an article named Criminal Behaviour - Theories of, that i attached which you can use to source relevant literature to include in the essay. The concepts of stigma (namely stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination). A book by Wood and Gannon (2013) (i think it is titled Public Opinion in Crimal Justice) is a good source about this. PLease also refer to the last paragraph of my introduction about the other things I would need you to write about. Importantly, I would need you to highlight the impact of stigma in mental health care and the clients. Some can be sourced on the presentation that I attached.
