Assignment 1 will be completed in groups of two. The overall aims of assignment 1 are for students to: x review and summarise the organisation’s supply chain practices (GLO1), including social and environmental responsibility aspects of these practices  – the specific report requirements are summarised in the table below; x develop a thorough understanding of the small organisation and its supply chain practices to obtain all the information needed to complete assignment 2 (focusing on GLO5 and 8); x demonstrate students have an understanding of the major supply chain management principles covered in the unit topics , by applying them to the small organisation (GLO5); x identify a specific/suitable GS1 system element related change ; and x receive feedback on assignment 1 from fellow students (see peer-review process below) and from staff (at the time that assignment 1 is marked) to ensure students are on the right track before starting assignment 2 (which builds upon assignment 1).
