Each assessment component is recorded as either Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC). A student can only achieve competence when all assessment components listed under “Purpose of the assessment” section are recorded as competent. Your trainer will give you feedback after the completion of each assessment. A student who is assessed as NYC (Not Yet Competent) is eligible for re-assessment.

In this assessment, the students are required to study the case study, especially the second half which is the case requirements to understand, at this stage, what exactly are the company’s requirements for the website project they would like to develop.
Based on your study of the case study and the design proposal you developed in assessment1, please commence to conduct the project development. You will be demonstrating your website design skills taught during class training.
Task: Project (60 marks)
Design the website according to the design case brief, and save the site in a folder called “wdd_site”. Two screenshots of sample apparel website are included in the end part of this assessment document.
1 Coding - HTML, Authoring tool - Dreamweaver. (You need to include a screenshot of the authoring tool you used for the project. You need to show the coding part of the HTML coding, and the evidence you have hand coding in that coding interface) For students who use other authoring tools, please discuss and get the approval from your trainer first.
2 All the required pages are designed according to the design specifications and as you planned, and the navigation links in all pages are all working correctly.
3 The site needs to have CSS file defined called style.css. It needs to cover the styling of body text, background colour or background, page tile, section title, disclaimer, navigation link, body link, disclaimer link, etc…
4 Layout design and consistency Implementation of social media links according to the guideline outlined in design proposal.
5 Content and details; image and style use. Please refer to Appendix 1 for a sample of website design project pages, for a general guide at on what level of design and style this assessment requested for submission.
