There are at least two options possible to widen the road to allow for a right turn from Bekele road to Kipchoge road: - Road widening on the development side - Road widening on the train station side. Conduct an evaluation of the options for the road widening (including graphic aids wherever necessary) by identifying the risks and advantages associated with each option. Based upon your analysis provide a recommendation on which is considered the most feasible option. Some examples of key issues/risks can include (but are not limited to): a. Road pavement b. Land use c. Regulatory requirements d. Community consultation e. Utilities f. Median(s) g. Footway and/or bus bay Part 2: How can the risks be managed for the selected option? Following your recommendation of a road widening option in the previous part of the report you now need to: - suggest to the developer some strategies to mitigate the identified risks to minimise their potential impact on the project schedule and budget. - Use the estimating tool provided (see the link below) to assess the risks as low, medium, or high. Please note, you do not need to estimate the actual costs. You only need to rate the level of risk (the contingency percentage will be automatically updated).
