In this assignment, you have to write a business report on the basis of the information provided in the above case study. You are expected to write a report that must include the following sections. You can complete the assignment in group (2 members at best). You also need to submit a digital presentation (individual) on your e-portfolio that you have developed throughout the semester.
Cover page: The cover page should include a title. You can simply use “Business Report on ABC University Case Study”. You must write your name, student id, unit name and unit code in the cover page.
Table of contents: A table of contents must be auto-generated using the built-in Microsoft word table creation function. If your report is over several pages, a table of contents helps readers to locate information quickly by giving them an overview. All section headings and subheadings should be included, worded and numbered exactly as they appear in the text.Executive Summary: An executive summary or ‘abstract’ is very important as some readers may only read this part. Write it last, being sure to include a summary of all parts of the report (omitting examples unless essential). A single-page executive summary including essential information, recommendations, findings and concluding remarks must be provided.
Introduction: Your introduction is really the ‘start’ of the report so describe here why your report is being written answering such questions as ‘what is this about?’ and ‘how is it useful?’
This is also where your page numbering starts. Specifically, you need to:
give some brief background information
define the problem/topic, its relevance, scope and any key terms
state the overall purpose and key objectives
give an overview of the report’s structure including the sections and their relationships • detail assumptions, scope, methodology and any limitations or constraints
