Q3_2021_RGJ Page 2 Response from Michael Hampson: Questions sent via email post their session. No rc o Cooperative Ltd, CEO - Michael Hampson. 1. Where do you see Norco in the next 5 - 10 years? Norco will be a thriving agribusiness operating in a circular sustainable way, bringing considerable value to its farmer owners. We will be selling products in all states, exporting to an additional 15 countries, and have a no harm safety culture, resonating inclusion and diversity. We will still be a co - operative, proud of our heritage, and humble to accept that this only happens with the strength of our customers, team members and farmers. 2. What are your thoughts or are there plans in developing pathways for women in leadership given there are only 1/6 in senior exec level and 0 females as board members? The board is compromised only of elected members, and the farm er members can only elect someone that is nominated and agrees to the nomination. We are activity encouraging our female members to nominate to be on the board, however we have not had a starter in the recent election. In terms of the executive team, we ab solutely support the diversity that all members of the community can bring, including female members of the community. Unfortunately we have not had a very strong level of applications for senior roles in our business, which has even caused us to engage co nsultants to review our job advertisements to see if they are causing issues for female members of the talent pool. Being an agriculture based business, we are aware of the difficulty to attract female talent, but we are still actively pursuing success on this front, and we will get there. 3. How do you envisage the influence of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Blockchain, for Norco Co - operative Ltd.? Q3_2021_RGJ Page 3 AI will have a significant impact on the predictability of milk intake on farm, customer s sales from climate models, etc., and will enable a more structured and streamlined supply chain for our products. Blockchain will be interesting when we can show each consumer which farm the milk in their 2 litre bottle comes from it is not there yet, more from the supply chain perspective (ie physical world has not kept pace with the technology world), however it will be the provenance and food security that invested consumers will want to see in the future, along with key sustainability items that the farm is doing to make the planet a better place. 4. Is Norco undertaking any CSR activities? If so, in which areas and which department looks after these CSR activities.? We are doing a number of items in the CSR space (we use ESG as the acronym). We have j ust pledged $1m to a plastics circularity research project in a CRC project led by Southern Cross University, we have reduced the plastic in the our bottles by 15%, we are moving some bottles to 100% recycled content and increasing the others to where tech nology today can take us. We are also concentrating heavily on waste, we have reduced our landfill by over 30% in the last 24 months, increased the use of recycled packaging in bought in products, moved lighting in factories from Halogen to more sustainabl e LEDs, ensure all purchasing complies with modern slavery requirements. For the community we donate to a wide range of activities that bring people together to share enjoyment. These include the many different country agriculture shows that occur within o ur milk collection and sales area, along with supporting schooling and education programs where suitable.
