The concept of national security that is improved with the capabilities of military dispersed amongst the team for eliminating the power of dominance in practice. The concept of ‘balance of power’ is implemented in the practice of international relations due to the restriction on allowing strength to a single party. Equilibrium adds factors of stability and eliminates aggression in international relations. Balance of power in the concept of international relations reflects protecting the dominance from the other nations or parties, which may hold power against power of other. The power of balance can be implemented by a specific state by the two ways, by enhancing the power of its own state or by decreasing the dominance power of others during competitive scenario. Balance of power can be implemented by the strategy of implementing an effective policy, rule or alliance.

In International Relations an equilibrium of power sufficient to discourage or present one nation or prevent one nation from imposing its will on or interfering with the interests of another. Balance of Power, theory and policy of international relations that asserts that the most effective check on the power of a state is the power of other states. In international relations, the term state refers to a country with a government and a population. The term balance of power refers to the distribution of power capabilities of rival states or alliance. In the theory of balance of power, the application is maintained during the period of power shift or power dominance, when a state reflects increased power, the threatened states will aim at increasing power as a response mechanism for the purpose of counter-balancing strategy. The concept is generally practiced in international relations, where balance in power depicts the concept of shifting pressures and alliances for the purpose of restricting the concept of threat for any specific party.  

The policy determines the association of security by the process of aligning power of the dominant state with the threatened state by the action of enhancing own military power. The strategy of forming a strategic coalition of the states for blocking power of colonists is termed as containment. For instance, United States of America reflected a policy regarding containment for Soviet Union after the conclusion of World War II through the strategy of constructing alliances in military as well as by constructing bases in the regions like Asia, Middle East and Europe. The counterbalancing activities are planned by the emergence from the rapid alterations in status and international power in a state. Incorporating equilibrium in the state brings stability and involvement for the purpose of productive growth of all the states. One of the historical instances of balance of power can be reflected through the incidence of stimulated warning in the country, China during 403-221 BC. During that period, the unification of the states in association with the construction of the irrigation system, growth, large group of armies and bureaucracies were formed. The balance of power was facilitated by the constant practice of shifting the network of associations/alliances.
