Assessment task 3: Guided Reflection Intent: To enhance students’ capacity for cultural awareness and perspective taking. Type: Reflection Weight: 40% Task: After participating in the subject the students will respond to series of guided reflection questions designed to increase their capacity for cultural awareness and perspective taking. The students will: Reflect on their own assumptions and how it has impacted on their decision making when interacting with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people before commencing this subject. 1. Review and analyse initial reflection assessment task and subject content to state how their decision making has been changed as a result of doing this subject. Reflect and describe thoughts, feelings and emotions that have been experienced whilst participating in the subject. Analyse the initial reflection assessment task and subject and state how their decision-making has changed; using three (3) specific examples of activities from Yarning Circles. 2. Explain how will this impact on their future nursing practice with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, embedding the Graduate Attributes, RN standards and UTS Indigenous Graduate Attributes into the reflective essay. 3.
