Ethnocentric is related with the different ways in which one evaluates their own culture with another. It is the way in which one thing that the culture where they are prevailing is one of the best culture and it is one of the correct way of living. It is due to the ethnocentric that the cultures having similarity can be easily observed and studied compared to the culture which are quite different. The evaluation give rise to a sense in the people and the attitude they acquire attribute to the fact that they think that their culture is superior to all the different cultures. This type of attitude give rise to a feeling where it becomes difficult to judge between right and wrong things occurring the society and within the cultural traits. In such situation the judgement is related with individual where an individual judges their culture to be superior and the foreign culture to be inferior. Such acts give rise to different group of racists people, differentiating between people and their culture. However, it can be stated that it is the judgemental power of an individual based on their own standard. It plays one of the major role in the divisions of the members present in the society.

For example, ethnocentric is observed more in movies where it serves as one of the entertaining factor. Ethnocentricity comprises of both advantages and disadvantages. It is often observed that the person who is more ethnocentric give rise to several problems. However, it is one of the factor prevailing in the modern society.
