Principles of Project Management

The accounting process is the most important and prominent method that get used in the business or financial entities to determine their profitability, operation and decision-making process. Accounting in business entities provides a method in keeping the records of financial results, operating results and decision-making process that get used in a business entity for its regular operations. The outcome obtained from the accounting records provides an understanding on the financial health of a business entity. The analysis of the financial health in combination to the financial results provides the management, the investors or the stakeholders of the business entity in their decisions making process regarding future adjustments that is required. The accounting process helps in prepare the financial statements such as balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cash flow statement. By providing data through a variety of statements including the balance sheet and income statement and cash flow statement a company can give investors and lenders more power in their decision-making. The accounting process involves creating several financial statements that are legally bound to be prepared and reported by a business entity. These financial statements include the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and the cash flow statement. These financial statements are used by the stakeholders of an entity to make their decisions regarding the business entity they are associated with.
