CHECKLIST ASSESSMENT TASK 3A: CASE STUDY PLAN p You are required to choose only ONE (1) of the proposed amendments. p You are required choose to represent ONE (1) stakeholder in criminal justice when making your submission as your agency . Examples could include a government agency or non - government agency who is involved or affected by the proposed amendment. p The purpose of the case stud y plan is to guide students through the process of researching for and summarising material that is required as part of the final Case Study Report preparation process . Therefore , thi s part is extremely important. p Utilise the readings provided to help you un derstand the context of the amendments. p Engage in your own further preliminary research, use relevant academic sources for information. Use the Library on campus and online. Search the Journal Database for journal articles. Note down your references in th e correct format for later insertion into your assessment. p Write a plan advising the NSW Parliament of the possible consequences of the chosen amendment for offenders in NSW. p Check that your plan is a critical and succinct argument. The stakeholder posit ion must be made clear and is relevant, substantiated and consistent with the selected amendment. p Check that the plan i dentifies a critical argument and provides a sophisticated analysis of how such an amendment will impact on the criminal justice system . p Check your plan is within word count being 250 words. p Check to make sure you are using an ac ademic writing style with varied articulation of ideas and clarity of meaning. p IMPORTANT - have someone proof read your work. Use Study Smart, the Study L ounge or someone you know with academic writing experience. If all else fails, read it out of a loud and check f or errors. p Check your spelling, grammar and punctuation. p Check that your references, citations and sources are relevant to the correct module /readings and that they are in the correct standard for WSU. This includes all internet sources as well.
