Develop and Use Emotional Intelligence

The concept of emotional intelligence is nothing but understanding people based on their behaviour, attitude and different other characteristics. Different people are having different personalities and they also have different needs and desire and also find different ways to showcase the emotions. The code will let the students know about the areas of emotional intelligence which is the one of the ability to recognize the emotions of others by understand what they are telling to someone and by realizing the impact of one’s emotions to others surrounding. The emotional intelligence also can ensure about understanding other’s feeling and by applying different tactics managing a relationship in a proper way is also falls under the elaboration of emotional intelligence. This module will let the students understand about different approaches towards emotional intelligence and by applying them in real scenario how they can develop their emotional intelligence will also discuss in this module.

The module will start about the basic principles and characteristics of emotional intelligence such as self awareness where people with very high emotional intelligence are commonly very self-aware. They use to understand their emotions by their end as they don’t want to let their feelings rule them in different ways. These people use to be very confident in every nature because they have the faith to trust their intuitions and will not let their feelings to go out of control. Developing this self control in terms of self awareness is very important consideration for every individual so that they do not become independent on others. Self awareness in terms of emotional intelligence also consider about taking honest look on people where based on understanding both the negative and positive situation they used to pretend the same the result is. Faking about certain aspects does not fall under the characteristics of self awareness. Knowing the strength and weakness is also necessary based on which an individual can work on these areas so that they can have better performance on their personal life. According to some people, self awareness is considered to be one of the most important parts of emotional intelligence. There is another characteristics of emotional intelligence is the self-regulation where an individual can have the ability to control emotions and impulses. People who can regulate themselves properly don’t let themselves allow becoming too jealous or angry on others and based on that they don’t even take any careless and impulsive decisions. Based on the thinking what others can think, they make decision or act accordingly and they also don’t let their emotions to be dependent on other. Different characteristics of self regulations are such as change with the comfort where when an individual found comfortness on something they used to adopt that and act according to the comfort zone. In addition to that based on self thought they can identify about how their acts can impact on others such as few people becomes rude where they become patience less and that can be considered as less self-regulated person. So thinking about how people can act according to other behaviour can change process can ensure about proper self-regulated person. Saying no to other is also falls under the characteristics of emotionally intelligent people, where thinking that people can feel sad when they will hear no from any aspects. Thus considering that self regulated people do not say no directly to any situation rather taking that into different way they used to deal with the circumstances. The people with emotional intelligence keep themselves motivated in every environment and let the surrounding people also motivated and encourage doing their respective tasks. In order to have long term success they are willing to defer the immediate results. They love to work on challenging situation, suppose an individual within an organization is working in a team and found that the other members within the team are getting difficulties to work on certain projects. In that situation by keeping each and every member motivated that individual will take the lead to take challenges on those tasks. This leading matter will make the other encouraged to come forward to keep their helping hand forwards with the leader ad that is how motivated people with emotional intelligence can work on performing certain tasks. Identifying the desire, needs and what the surrounding people are wanting is also emotional intelligence characteristic which is empathy. Recognizing the people of others and knowing about the absolute feeling, they used to act accordingly so that the opposite person does not feel bad on that point of time. The people with more empathetic are having characteristics such as listening to others, managing relationship and help them relating with others in proper way. They also don’t judge people based on the attributes and characteristics of others and they use to live their life in very honest and open minded way. There is another characteristic of emotional intelligence is the social skills where an individual with the ability can talk to people in a easier way and that do not find much nervousness as they wanted to be socially free and skilful. The team players are considered to more developed socially where they wants to work in a team and wants to give their best for the completion of the project with effectiveness. These people rather than thinking only about their own success they used to help other in terms of shining and developing others personally and professionally. They can manage disputes and those people are good communicators and also masters at maintaining and developing relationships.

Based on different features and attributes an individual can let them developed personally and professionally and that also encourage their emotional intelligence for the betterment of others.
