The founder of the Ming dynasty was Emperor Taizu and ruled China from the year of 1368-1644 A.D. This was the era when the population of China was double. In this period of time the trade business of China was expanded outside China and different type of cultural ties was done with the West. The Emperor Taizu was succeeded by his grandson who was 15 years old when he was in the throne. Chengzu, son of Taizu’s ignited a war in order to achieve the throne. He tried to expand the tribute system of China into other countries by sending different ships to India. In the year of 1557 the tribute system was exchanged by the maritime trade which help China in exporting silk and giving permission to the European in the empire. During this phase there was introduction of peanuts and sweet potatoes in China. This was the time when the merchant class was emigrated. The Ming dynasty loved to export the goods made with porcelain. In the year of 1368 an imperial factory was created which manufactured different products for the imperial court. It was one of the main source which helped in the export of porcelain in different parts of Europe. It was one of the ruling dynasty that ruled China for 276 years.  The currency suffered a lot of contractions and inflation during the rule of Ming dynasty. During the rule of the Ming dynasty cash crop was grown and the market was expanded. During the rule of the Ming dynasty the economy of China was one of the largest in the entire world. It is marked among one of the golden ages of China. During the rule of the Ming dynasty the paper currency was used. During the rule of the Ming dynasty China was among the leader related with the use of weapon based upon gun powder. The Forbidden City was the ruling center for the ruler of China. The art that prevailed in the architecture of the Forbidden City reflected the hierarchy of China. There was developments related with the refinements such as porcelains, textiles and lacquers. There was lot of political influence during this phase and lots of technological advantages was gained. The overall population was increased and with that the quality of the land degraded and the farmers were forced to live their life with the cultivation of cash crops. The dynasty published books which can be easily used by the commoners. The books related with reference were popular and there were introduction of number of guides related with different types of examinations. The full length novels gained full popularity during the Ming dynasty. Due to different financial problems there was downfall in the Ming dynasty. The military campaigns were completely drained during the Ming dynasty. Chongzhen was the last emperor of the Ming dynasty who committed suicide in the year of 1644. During this time the Manchu people started prevailing in China. The next dynasty ruling China was the Qing dynasty.
