Cobourg Collegiate Institute (CCI), formerly called Cobourg District Collegiate Institute East (CDCI East), could be a highschool within the town of Cobourg, Ontario, Canada.
The school was created by the merger of two high schools, Cobourg District Collegiate East and Cobourg District Collegiate West. Both school dates back to the then Cobourg high school which operated from 1901 to 1961.
It is the biggest town in and seat of Northumberland County. Its nearest neighbour is Port Hope, 7 km (4 mi) to the west. it's located along Highway 401 (exits 472 and 474) and also the former Highway 2 (now Northumberland County Road 2). To the south, Cobourg borders Ontario. To the north, east and west, it's surrounded by Hamilton Township.
The connections and trade links which developed through the iron shipments brought many American industrialists to Cobourg, which became a preferred summer destination. High class hotels were established,
