1.Consider a recent teamwork assignment in which you have participated. (Such as a recent college group-work assignment or a work project)
2.Evaluate the communication systems and processes that the team employed (or lack of systems and processes). Answer the following questions using the concepts from the textbook (chapter 6).
a.What was the system/process? Was it effective? How, why, why not?
b.How engaged were you in the communications?
c.How could it have been improved?
3.Conflicts happen within all teams. Conflict may be defined as healthy, functional debates through to dysfunctional behaviours. (see the textbook for further definitions) Answer the following questions using the concepts from the textbook (see exhibit 6.4)
a.What is your default conflict management style?
b.When conflict situations occurred within your team (functional and/or dysfunctional) how were they handled within the team context?
c.Were they handled effectively? Explain.
d.How could conflict outcomes have been improved?
4.Summarize the role of the leader in ensuring good team communication and conflict resolution.
