Cold War, 10. People’s War, 11. Technology and War I: To 1945, 12. Battle: The Experience of Modern Combat, 13. Sea Warfare, 14. Air Warfare, 15. War and the People: The Social Impact of Total War, 16. Women and War, 17. Against War, and 18. Technology and War II: From Nuclear Stalemate to Terrorism. Write your summary in formal English. What were the author’s main ideas? You should also include your own thoughts on the chapter in your concluding paragraph. Your double spaced rough draft, showing signs of editing, is to be stapled underneath your final draft. Your final draft is to be double spaced in 12-point type and have a cover page and a bibliography (only one book) as well as Chicago style footnotes. Your cover page is to have the title of your essay, your name, student number, course and section number, date submitted, your professor’s name , and the word count. You should have at least two direct quotations from the chapter, which you must footnote in proper Chicago Style.
