1. Introduction

As mentioned by Bowen et al., (2013), with the change in technology industries are adopting cloud computing and ERP system. ERP system and cloud computing helps in improve their productivity and profitability. On the other hand, cloud computing help organization in storing their data in the form of public, private and others. 

1.1 Aims of the research

The main aim of this research focuses on the implementation and importance of ERP and cloud computing system in organization. On the other hand, this research study also focuses on importance of the ERP system and cloud computing in different industries. Apart from this, the aim of research is to encourage implementation of cloud computing and ERP system. 

1.2 Objective of the research

The success of this research depends on its different objective decided by researchers. Some of the objectives of this research study are as

  • To understand the proper implementation method adopted by organization regarding ERP and cloud computing system
  • To understand the importance of ERP and cloud computing in different industries. 

1.3 Hypothesis

H1- ERP and cloud computing help in storing and retrieving data.

H0- ERP and cloud computing system does not help in storing and retrieving data  

2. Literature review

2.1 Introduction

With the innovation in technical field, cloud computing and ERP systems are adopted by major of industries. As mentioned by Elragal and Haddara (2013), the main reason behind adoption of it is improvement in performance and likewise. In context to this Kling (2013) stated, enterprise resource planning or ERP helps in managing their data. It also helps in collecting and storing data or information in proper manner. In case of cloud computing, organization get chance to change their privacy system as per requirement. That is, they can make data private, hybrid and public in nature. On the other hand, there are three different model of cloud computing. 

In context to this Rountree and Castrillo (2013) stated, the three models are sometimes known as services. The three services of cloud computing are, platform as a services (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS ) and software as a service (SaaS). The usage and importance of three models are different. On the other hand, the implementation methods of three are also different. As mentioned by Shtub (2014), SaaS service is provided with the help of licensing process. That is, the user has to pay for it. The service of SaaS model is based on demand of the user and the payment made by them. On the other hand, PaaS model is based on the pre defined platform of the services. In addition to this Srinivasan (2012) stated, the platform based delivery method is used in this model. On the other hand, the IaaS model help in delivering the service with the help of operating system. Apart from this, ERP system also helps in maintaining data and information in proper way. 

2.2 Importance of cloud computing and ERP systems

As stated by Rountree and Castrillo (2013), these system help in improving the mobility, usability and accessibility of system. In addition to this, it also helps in improving the recovery system of the organization. As mentioned by Srinivasan (2012), ERP system and cloud computing help in reducing the operation cost as well as it improve their scalability. Apart from this, the competency level employees can also be improved with implementation of it. 

2.3 Summary

In the diversified world of technology, ERP and cloud computing are the widely used system by organization. On the other hand, it also helps in improving the operation and efficiency of organization system.

3) Research Methodology

3.1 Introduction

As mentioned by Shtub (2014), research methodology is most important part of the research study. It helps in data collection, analyzing the data and others. The data collection process helps in analyzing the view about target audience. 

3.2 Data collection

In context to this Kling (2013) stated, the data collection is done with the help of primary and secondary collection method. The primary data is collected with the help of different organization IT experts and other employees. On the other hand, secondary data is collected from different websites, journal and others. 

The size of sample for this research is 10 employees from two different IT firms. Each employee is given a set of questionnaire. And on the basis of their answers in questionnaire collection is done. 

3.3 Limitations

The research study consist of several limitations, some of the major limitations are; time limit and budget of the research. 

3.4 Summary

In this part of research, researcher has collected data and then analysis is done. The complete process is done taking into the limitation of study.
