1. The company that I have selected contains a governance framework. This company has a Corporate Governance policy (Tricker & Tricker, 2015). This policy helps the company to provide the employees and stakeholders various benefits. This policy provides numerous responsibilities such as monitoring the performances of a CEO and taking required steps according to his performance. The actions might be negative or positive for example, the CEO might get promoted or demoted (Tricker & Tricker, 2015). With the help of delegated authority, the higher levels are also provided with numerous responsibilities. I have also checked two of my classmates’ findings thoroughly and compared them with my findings. After comparing them, I found that Corporate Government policies of small organizations provide less number of responsibilities compared to the large organizations.

The findings have evaluated the processes which contribute in governance of a company (Ueng, 2016). The processes are value as well as control and efficiency of the company. These processes include numerous responsibilities provided to every individual. One more factor includes strategy and purpose, the factor makes sure that the organizational purpose is clear to all the employees. It also ensures that a particular strategy is used by the company for achieving its objectives. One of the most important factors is risk management; it assesses the risks that are faced by organization (Ueng, 2016). It also looks for ways to mitigate these risks.

2. During the period of my internship in a specific organization, I came across that in numerous operations going on in the organization; ICT has been playing a very important role. The usage of Australian Standard in ICT has provided numerous principles like planning ICT for supporting that particular company, acquiring the validity of that particular task, ensuring that the ICT task would show its efficiency when it would be required (Badrick, Gay & McCaughey, 2017). These principles help organizations in many ways.

I have come across a particular Australian Standard during the internship named plan ICT. During the internship we were provided with a particular task. We were divided into teams. I was the member of one of the teams, the team members were barely known to me. We performed the task individually and did not interact much among ourselves. This has resulted in similarity in documentations of the activities. In this situation we faced the Australian Standard of Planned ICT. It represents that every ICT task needs to be planned well in order to execute it properly team members are supposed to interact among themselves irrespective of their identity, background, specialization and many more. Planning does not only make the task easy but also makes it consume less time (Michaels, Natraj & Van Reenen, 2014). It also decreases the complexity of the task, this is because if a task is planned, its activities are planned as well and the members are provided with individual tasks. Planning ensures that same activities are not performed by two or more individuals unless it is a big one.

3. Legal compliance represents the integration between business process management and information management (Lozano & Trillo-Lado, 2016). There are various laws that are related to ICT, some of them are security and crime Act, Anti-terrorism and Basel II Accord. I have not faced this sort of situation during my internship, but I might face a situation where I would have to account the Australian Legislation during performing my ICT task. One of them is EU Framework Decision on various attacks that would take place against the information system. Every organization has their information system. This Information System can be attacked by various hackers. The legislation would help the organization when this sort of situation id faced by the organization, the legislation helps it to take measures in order to secure their information system (Lozano & Trillo-Lado, 2016). This particular part of the legislation gives guidance to the organization regarding numerous criminal offences which have the possibilities to take place in that company. There are numerous penalties that are applicable as a result of the offences. The penalties depend on the seriousness of the penalty.

4. Software is developed for numerous categories of clients. Clients may also fall under the category of differentially able (Mascetti, Rossetti & Gerino, 2016). I being a software developer have been chosen to develop software for blind or visually impaired clients. Blind people would need text equivalents for images provided in the software. For example the tab key can be used in order to move focus of the item that is needed to be selected. A screen reader would announce the items which would help the user to know where the focus is. If the focus is on desired objects the user clicks the enter button (Mascetti, Rossetti & Gerino, 2016). Hence the application of audio feature to the software would be beneficial for blind as well as visually impaired people.

Color blind people can also be helped in using software by implementing the sound based system in the software (Flatla, Andrade & Teviotdale, 2015). Special fonts can be used like enlarged alphabets in order to make it clear to them. The graphics should include text tables. One of my classmates had also mentioned similar points as mine.

5. ICTs can contribute in reducing the carbon footprint. Some ways by which they can do it is turn of the PCs when they are not in use. This is very obvious that switching off the PCs and laptops can not only reduce the carbon footprint of the organization in the environment, it also reduces the amount of energy utilized unnecessarily (Pierson & Hlavacs, 2015). If the monitors as well as CPUs are kept on for a long time every day, they would utilize 58kWh which is enough to increase the carbon footprint. One of my classmates has described that along with switching of the computers the switching off of all the electrical appliances would contribute more to reducing the footprint.

6. A process can be defined as a method that is short and is executed in less time, and does not require planning. Project can be defined as a set of processes where planning is mandatory.

The first one is a process because manufacturing computers that are identical to other computers that have already been manufactured is a process.

Building a house is a project because it requires planning of the processes, budget and many more.

Upgrading a computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10 is a process because it does not need any planning or budget plan.

Upgrading 120 computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10 is a process as well because it does not require planning.

One of my friends have said first two are projects and second two are processes whereas another friend has said first and third are processes and rest are projects.

Values of code of ethics and codes of professional conduct

Three values of code of ethics are as follows

• Customer focus: Delivering customer satisfaction by keeping in mind the changes in customer expectations.
• Quality: Delivering good quality work by providing precise results within deadline.
• Integrity: the organization should behave ethically in their businesses as well as financial activities.

Five codes of professional conduct are as follows

• Maintenance of professional knowledge as well as competence along with continuing development in profession.
• Act in a particular manner so that it upholds and supports values and reputation of profession.
• Uphold the responsibilities like a professional towards the wide community.
• Establish, develop and maintain business relationship on the basis of trust, respect and confidence.
• Challenge the ones who are suspected for unlawful behavior or conduct. Appropriate actions should also be taken.
