Educating Farmers (Women & Farmers)

In accordance with Winget, Lamb and Wheatley (2017), the company Root Capital needs to focus more on the investment on the area of education especially for women and young farmers. The research shows that around 40-80% labors living in the developing countries are women. Hence, it is suggestive that proper education can be the most effective way of improving the farmers’ lives inclusive of women as well as young men. In addition, gender discrimination is another challenge which can be eliminated by the means of education. Hence, a proper education will of immense importance as it will eliminate ill practice and myth related discrimination against women in the rural areas of developing countries. Education will increase knowledge within women and will encourage the women to join in farming along with men. On the other hand, as per the reaserch it is seen that farmers of rural areas lack knowledge in terms financial aspects and technical aspects related to farming. Thus, in order address the issue of lack of knowledge, education will be playing a major role for the women and young farmers in obtaining knowledge in relation with financial aspects and modern ways of effective agriculture. In regard to that several initiatives inclusive of R.C.’s 2012 Women in Agriculture Initiative has been evident as major achievement.
