It can be said that the rapid change in organizational structure as well as grooming is changing imminently and in a way that we never anticipated some decades ago, hence affecting the structure of an organization and the organisational behaviour either internally or externally. This set phenomena of the way one need to wear in and during working time in a specific organization has been viewed and described in different ways by different organization depending on what the organization deals with in terms of performing its responsibilities and duties to make itself meet the targets and achieve the goals set. Also, it can be said that in developed institutions or organisations especially in this developed nations organisational structure has been influenced in so many ways as many employees who work in this organisations unlike in Organisation Man the conformity, loyalty and obedience has been found and seen to be less or even to no existence at all. The change of culture in the today’s organisation starting with the way we wear, the outsourcing ways, the job hopping and casualization of the job that we perform will remain to be a big problem in the 21st century and will continue to rise until an action is put in to consideration (John R. Schermerhorn, 2012). This essay will therefore discuss some of the reason to as why the Organisation man will be relevant in today’s organisations.
The reasons to as why many organisations are not conforming, i.e. in terms of being focused on results and oriented on the objectives could be said to be lack of understanding the contemporary theories and the concept of organisational behaviour at work place. (C.Yang, 2013) states that the phenomena of not conforming according to the organisational contemporary theories such as the classical organizational theory, Neoclassical organization theory which has been as a result of improvement in education levels by the employees which is caused as a result of classical theory failure and lastly is the modern organization theory which in phenomena was to bring lots of new economics and which are influenced deeply by the environments surrounding the organisation (ALDRICH.H, 2007). However, it could be stated that with the lack of understanding the contemporary theories in an organisation the concepts of organisational behaviour such as the building the relationship, the benefits of setting goals, style of management, managing workforce that is diverse and many others has also not been understand and this has led to today’s organisation fail as they are not results focused and objective oriented, hence this makes the Organization Man relevant in Today’s organisation (Kokemuller, 2016).
There are several ways that today’s organisation could try to attempt for them to conform to focusing on results and being oriented on the objectives. Firstly, perhaps will be to change the human behaviours at the workplace, as in Organization man the behaviour of the employees in the workplace is something that is driven by the objectives and focusing on the results that contrast with the todays most organisations as the employees are not driven by results neither objectives oriented but they are driven by the salary, interest or wage they earn either weekly, monthly or in contract form. Further, to elaborate on Today’s organisation, when it comes to team work they have tried a bit of working as a team but not like in the way it used to be in Organization Man. Team work in today’s organization is important in a manner that it will help in solving problems together, good communication will be developed, cohesion will be established, they get to learn from each other and this will eliminate the problems in today’s organizations and make the workplaces to be focused with the output and ready to meet the targets (Marquis, 2017).
The skills such as the personal skill which is the set of abilities everyone possess which include the communication abilities and interpersonal skills which is kind of limited to aspects of communication and interacting with others. The lack of practising this skills in today’s organization has led to breakdown and creation of barriers when communicating in the workplace, hence weakening the possibility of team work (Keth, 2015).
Further, perhaps the organizational behaviour in the work place will play a major role in the organization as in Organization Man the managers way of wearing is set and it is the schedule and behaviour of the organisation and acts as a symbol indicating some of the traits. This types of organizational behaviour have been seen and according to “America it has termed that the employees have took the vows of organisation life” such as the managerial control, ethics, how accountable, and the harassment something that is contrasting with the today’s environments (Root, 2016).
In conclusion therefore, Organization Man is relevant in today’s organization as for this present organization they need to be results focused and objective oriented. This essay has discussed some of the main things that the todays organizations are not doing and need to be put in to place in this 21st Century to avoid rising of these problems in the future. Although the outcomes addressed in contrasting the Organization Man and the today’s organizations relevancy can be somewhat seen to be complex, they can generally be explained in terms of the team work, personal skills and personal skills, evidence-based approach management, human behaviour at the work place, the organization problems and the contemporary organization theories. Therefore in terms of understanding the behaviour the organization has to study the individual and the group behaviour for it to be able to identify the key elements that will help in improving the overall work environment (Lombardo, 2013). This Organization man as discussed and argued above will be relevant in today’s organisation as it will help in solving the existing organisation problems and much more start being focused on the results and objective orientation.
