1. Workforce planning is an important tool that is used by the owners of the business in order to plan the staffing of the company so that it is efficient and it is also within the budget(De Bruecker et al ., 2015).There are several issues that affected the workforce planning goals for organization Coffeeville. The four issues out of them are as follows:
2. The New fair work commission in Australia proposed changes to the Fair Work Act 2009, which the casual employees would be entitled to be provided with a permanent job after serving for 12 months (Pekarek etal .,2017).This proposed change led to a growing concern for Emma Belcastran, owner of Coffeeville Organization as there are number of casual employees in Coffeeville. This proposal would mean that all the casual employees who are large in number would have to be provided permanent job after 12 months that would also mean they would be entitled to several benefits of permanent employee .The benefits of permanent employees include sick leave, job leave and other benefits that would cost the organization Coffeeville.
3. The Food service industry in Australia provides good amount of entry level jobs which accounts to about 7% of workforce of Australia and it is also forecasted that it will also provide ample job opportunities in the future for food services staff (McManus, 2013). However, most of the jobs provide part time employment .Given the job outlook of food service industry in Australia and the growing competition, Coffeeville should ensure that their staffs are not dissatisfied and should be retained in the organization. They should take measures and curtail the growing concern that they are facing in the organization and so that they can achieve the workforce planning goals.
4. Considering the new information obtained regarding the job outlook for food service staff in Australia and growing competition in the industry, Coffeeville should conduct a scan of the workplace environment in order to identify and monitor trends that affect the workforce and the organization. This strategy needs to be implemented changing the related strategy in the Workforce Plan of Coffeeville considering the issues of employee disengagement and problems relating to employee retention in Coffeeville (Cowart, 2014).
