Answer:
The intention of present report is to understand the project characteristics of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Microsoft Company in project management skills and abilities. This work has been worked out in relation to showcase the Sangam project which is initiated by Satya Nadella who is current CEO of Microsoft organisation. The aim of mentioned project is to assist the low skilled employees in India with development in terms of employment and knowledge.
Project Management
Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella has recently worked on Sangam project which is specifically made for India by using its Skype Lite App. The rationale behind opening this project is to provide a surrounding too many people to acquire training skills and qualities for up gradation to apply for jobs (Wong & Mulligan, 2016). Working on this project highlights many project management skills of Satya Nadella as are analysed in relation to various aspects which are evaluated here.
While working on Sangam Project, negotiating is regarded as one of the most significant aspect. Nadella himself interacted very effectively with the Indian mass and evoke them towards battement. The skill of this CEO has taken step where this first project on Cloud assisted in bringing Microsoft and Linked In together.
Planning and control techniques are planned during developing this project where Nadella worked hard in making Indian mass aware about digitalisation (Papini, DeLyser & Wang, 2017). With the support of Indian Prime Minister, the approach to generate the need of basic computer operation is made compulsory.
Risk management skill of Nadella was reflected when the application was infused in Sangam project. Initially, it was challenging for Nadella to manage the issue of number of languages which are spoken in India. Later, it was worked upon by him. He introduced the very light weight app named as Skype Lite which is designed to support different languages such as Bengali, Hindi, Gujrati, Marathi etc.
Satya Nadella has very sound managerial capabilities as he possess great blend of technical expertise and leadership abilities and capabilities (Katzis, 2015). Through the way he handled his coordinating and directing abilities in accomplishing Sangam Project was very efficient. In order to run this project in India, the efforts are made where Satya supported in recruiting Indian Leaders who personally interact with mass. He had demonstrated smart skills in exploring areas where Indian mass could be developed in terms of knowledge and digital expertise.
Conclusion
With the help of this report, it has been concluded that every leader has been identified with his characteristics in vivid arenas. By understanding the example of CEO of Microsoft, the project management handling of Satya Nadella has been evaluated and understood.
