Interpersonal conflicts are one of the major issues which occurs at workplace. While working in an organization, and working with a large number of employees, there are situations and consequences in which conflicts and resistance between employees occurs and hence, the management should be able to maintain the interpersonal conflicts in such situations (Silverman, 2013).
Qualitative research is the process in which non numerical data is collected through means such as surveys, interviews and discussions so that observations, artifacts and records are collected and then interpreted to obtain the research results (Ritchie et al., 2013). This specific qualitative research process is conducted to obtain a specific type of data and determine a specific result. This specific research data is used for this specific approach because it helps to determine relationship between two variables such as in this case, workplace issues and interpersonal communication process (Silverman, 2013). Further, due to the presence of trends and opinions, in the process of qualitative research, a trend could be seen in the qualitative research which is used for proper data identification and interpretation.
This will be used to identify the process of interpersonal communication related issue within the organization and provide proper interventions so that it could be used to solve the interpersonal miscommunication within the organization (Marshall & Rossman, 2014). A survey within the organization will be used in which, interviews will be conducted so that the issues could be identified from the employees and their confessions. Further, an average opinion will be formed from all the data collected and a common opinion will be made about the process (Silverman, 2013).
