CNA250 Nursing Practice 2

The profession of a nurse is globally known as a noble profession since it involves a good number of responsibilities and hard work. In order to provide effective health care service to the healthcare service users a nurse should posses some major personal attributes. Some of the personal attribute that a nurse should posses includes being trustworthy, reliable and patient. I believe that I have developed the mentioned attributes. According to the NMBA code of professional conduct, Nurses provide impartial, honest as well as accurate information in relation to nursing care and health care products (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, 2018). Being a reliable person, I always believe that is the responsibility of every nurse to maintain the confidentiality of the patients whom he or she is taking care of.

Apart from personal attributes, educational qualification is also a major part on which the proficiency of a nurse depends. I have studied business management and a diploma in accounting. However, my passion for nursing has made me to peruse bachelor of Nursing. Being one of the parents of an one year old, I am not working for any organization currently. My academic achievement includes bachelor of nursing degree. However, I have previous job experience as Assistant Nurse in Aged care (AIN). Being a nurse, I have always tried my best to maintain the ICN code of ethics for nurses. Currently, I am planning to attend my clinical placement in February 2019 in Blacktown hospital in Gastroenterological. I always believe that Nurses have four fundamental responsibilities that includes promotion of health, prevention of illness, restoration of health and alleviation of suffering.
