1. How does FERPA define education records?
FERPA is the Family Education Record and Privacy Act which defines the education record as those records which cannot be disclosed by the schools unless and until they receive the consent of the parent or the eligible student except those which are under the general rules of FERPA. It also states that any information related to the student should be kept confidential. Whenever a concern arises the authority can quickly and decisively act after understanding the options that are available under the FERPA. There is no requirement in the FREPA to keep certain data (Young 2014). This records mainly includes the transcripts or the other records that are obtained from the school where the student was previously enrolled. The records are maintained by the authority or the agents of any institution for the purpose of identifying the students individually. Records may be written by hand, or in the printed form or in the form of magnetic tapes or disks or any type of other medium.

3. What is the purpose of a service agreement relative to the IT world?
Service agreement mainly refers to the contract that entered for a contract so as to provide some useful task for the employees in return of the compensation that they have made. A service agreement can also be stated as the offered feature along with the warranty of the products by any IT technology manufacturer for the service they are providing or the coverage of the cost for the service for some cases when the IT product starts to malfunction during the given period of time. Service agreement is very much important for the IT world (Hufbauer et al. 2012). This is because of the reason that a IT product may fail anytime which results in the need of extra assistance or support from the manufacturers. Therefore, if certain agreements are made then the performance of the products can be greatly initiated along with customer satisfaction.
