My name is Jenny Goldsmith. I did MBA from the University of Queensland in 2014. I completed a challenging internship with Rip Curl Pty Ltd in the retail management where I have learned in a practical and impactful manner. My goal is to become a good manager in a reputed organization. I want to become a successful entrepreneur in upcoming 5 years. For this, initially, I will gain my knowledge about management and retail industry.  For working in my desired organization, I should groom my personality, and leadership and technical skills. I have 3 years of experience in small retail companies where I have built my knowledge regarding technical and leadership skills. In these companies, I have worked in a different position like employees, team leader, and manager. I have developed my decision-making skills, and improved ability to manage conflict deals with demanding workforces. At the same time, I have polished my communication skills as I can utilize my passion for excellent retail management in offering a best possible experience for retail customers.  I have worked in Priceline Pty Ltd where I have managed the project team of 10 staff and I recently implemented a new system to manage the team members.  I have learned to pay attention towards detail information and delivering the project on deadline and also learned to enjoy working with organizational culture. I want to act in a challenging management role within the retail industry and I want to work with an organization in which I believe I could settle down and make a real contribution.

From the above table, it can be stated that I can face challenges in retail industry due to different factors such as political issues for cheap labor in Australia and development of anti-counterfeiting trade agreement. But, at the same time, the good international relation for trade provides an opportunity to me to enhance my career (LeBaron, 2014).It is analyzed that low inflation rate, high exchange rate, and low-interest rate creates complexities for me to manage the financial cost. However, high presence of workforces creates an opportunity for me to manage the task within an organization (Cottrell, 2015). It is evaluated that fashion and innovation trends and perception of prestigious items provides an opportunity to me to grow my career by making innovation in the workplace. It is also determined that good presence of online marketing services enables me to increase the customer’s demand towards their brand by endorsing the products through online channels (Baker, Perkins and Comber, 2014). It is also analyzed that restricted consumer protection laws create complexities for me to deliver customer services. It is also identified that restricted environmental protection policies create difficulties for me to manage the resources within an organization as it could adversely affect my career.

Ethics is described as a set of moral principles, particularly ones relating to the group, and forms of conduct.  It could be influenced by a different organization, institute, and profession.  It could be varied according to the profession. Values are principles and standards of behavior. It could be persuaded by culture, family background, community and religions (Strampel, and Lewis, 2016).  It could be varied according to the individual. Professional ethics is defined as the professionally accepted standard of personal and business behavior, values, and guiding principles. I used professional values and ethics. I have conducted moral practices as I have knowledge about what is right or wrong in the marketplace (Utami, Ryadi, Susanto, and Koesworo, 2014).I have used trustful and honest aspects of every job practices. I have created a goal to get positive gains. I have maintained the confidentiality of employees at the workplace.  Along with this, I have offered safety to employees by offering them training.  These professional values are formed from personal influences like friends, family, and peers (Gregory, 2017).My professional values were also formed from education, societal morals, perception, policy, and law. It was also formed from internationalized ethical belief and media.

Decision making skill defines that people have the ability to decide which person to hire, which supplier to use and which strategy to pursue and capability of making a good decision with existing data is essential. For example, I have the ability to make operation decision such as managing inventory decision, hiring, training and developing team member decision.  Administrative skill is required to succeed in the administration like organizing, planning, computing, scheduling, staffing, and computing. For example, I have the ability to make flexible time schedule based on the business needs. Leadership skills are a significant element in positioning top manager to make a thoughtful judgment regarding their mission and goal of an organization. It could be beneficial to appropriately allocate the resources to attain those directions. Valuable leadership skills entail the aptitude to encourage, assign and communicate successfully. For example, I have ability develop team members in all disciplines at the workplace.  I have also the ability to lead and coach to the larger team. These all skills are associated with the desired job as I can get my desired job. I have also assessed that my present skill is also matched with skills needed for the retail manager position. These skills are acquired by me from different sources like previous organization and culture.

Lack of Critical thinking skill sexists in me because discipline is a real issue in high schools, which serves as a big distraction. Further, It is a challenging skill to teach.

I should think regarding topic and concern in an objective and critical manner. I have also need to assess different arguments in relation to the specific issue. I have also needed to address my weakness and negative points that exist in my argument. I should also use structured reasoning and support for an argument that we desire to make as it would improve the critical thinking skills.

Lack of Planning skills exists for me because I dislike constraints of any kind. Along with, I have no plan behind the idea.

I need to make written planning to capture all ideas and ensure none of them get lost. I need to work mentally as well as about seven pieces of data without losing something.  I need to write my thoughts as I would be enabled to consider each aspect of the planning process.

I have needed to make a list and stay focused on priorities for appropriate time management.

Strengths and weaknesses are internal factors which could be controlled. Strength shows the positive aspect of a person while weakness shows the unfavorable aspect of a person. Strength is the ability to do things that need a high amount of mental and physical efforts. Together with, weakness is defined as the lack of strength and flow of character and something that cannot refuse to accept (Zoellner, Chant and Lee, 2017). I have different strength like self-motivation, communication, and team management. I have a different weakness like not very disciplined when it comes to working on my own, time management, still learning the digital tool. This strength could aid me to get a job in the reputed organization and enhance my career. In addition, weaknesses hinder me to get top position in my career. It is analyzed that retail industry considers different mega-trends which could be dealt by me due to having different strengths (Cottrell, 2015). For example, I have communication skills which are my strength and it could be effective to make an international relationto trade. Along with this, I am self-motivated which could be effective to motivate the workforces at the workplace and helps to improve the business performance. However, I have lack of time management skills which creates complexities to deal with the economic and social challenges.
