Overview of the Organization and Case Study
The Verizon Telecommunication company has been considered here. The learner had been working and volunteering in different kind of tasks and services in the organization. The Verizon can be said to be one of the largest telecommunication service providers in the United States and founded in the year 2000 (Erol-Kantarci & Mouftah, 2015). The case related to the issue of proper communication faced in the organization and the aftermaths faced due to it shall be discussed in here.
Identify and Describe the Situation or Problem
The organization is facing a high crisis related to proper communication. Due to the use of complex communication systems in the organization, the people and staffs fail to communicate with each other most of the times (Shim, Varshney, Dekleva & Knoerzer, 2016). The whole communication chain and process involves a series of complex and lengthy processes which have to be bygone through the seniors (Cornelissen & Cornelissen, 2017). This hinders easy communication and most of the information are lost in the way. This leads to taking up of wrong actions and stripes in the organization in response to any kind of scenario or others.
The issues can be termed to be sensitive as without the prevalence of accurate and healthy communication in the organization, actions and steps cannot be taken in response to any situation or cause.
Different kind of skills were required in order to bring proper communication. Easy lines of communication needed to be established and common communication technique and platforms had to be installed and made use of in the whole of the organization.
Different set of values are associated with the solving of the whole issues of communication that is being faced in the company while working.
Develop Alternatives and Test Possible Solutions
Different kind of alternatives had to be taken in order to solve the issues of communication (Cauley, 2016). In order to avoid long and hectic communication through seniors, an application was designed and made available to all employees where communication could be carried on one to one basis and also through forums.
Propose Solutions and Suggest Implementation Plans
Through the application all the employees could post and inform about the affairs and the decision could be made in in a collective manner. Through this the hindrance in communication, that is bureaucracy could be easily avoided here (Shim, Varshney, Dekleva & Knoerzer, 2016). Further, digital mode of communication that were previously available shall also have to be developed and updated in order to avoid any kind of data loss or miscommunication.
In a whole summed up manner, the study can be referred to as related to the solving of communication related issues in the telecommunication company of US that is the Verizon.
