Salt is very essential for human body. The human body possesses main two fluid sections that are the intracellular and extracellular cells. Salt is an electrolyte that plays the key role in the extracellular fluid. Kidney maintains the water and sodium balance, which is a critical part (Bloodpressureuk.org. 2017).
However, the sodium chloride (NaCl) is essential for human body in a limited amount. Eating more amount of salt can have negative impact on health. It can raise the sodium amount in the blood stream and as a result, the delicate balance can be wrecked. It can raise the blood pressure level. This can reduce the performance of the kidney, as it will be unable to remove water. The result of this is high blood pressure. This can be caused due to the extra fluid and strain on delicate blood vessels. This leads to the kidney dysfunction. The extra fluid can affect the heart, brain and arteries as well. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the bad effects of salt on the human body for the wellbeing of human (Bloodpressureuk.org. 2017). Therefore, people should consume less amount of salt to avoid the health effects.
Eating too much salt can be avoidable. As adults should not take > 6 g of salt daily, therefore they can use less amount of salt in cooking and avoid the salty foods. These types of foods include chips, pickle and fast foods. It can be expected that using less amount of salt can better the lifestyle.
