Attitude is a tendency or predisposition to respond positively or negatively towards a specific situation, person, idea, or object. Attitude can influence my choice of whether to succeed or fail in college studies. My attitude is the only barrier standing between me and either success or failure as the ability to accomplish something is inherent in every individual but how one gets there, and their attitude ultimately determines their success or failure. Attitude comes down to three elements. The first element is the outlook that is if I am positive or negative, it will determine if I am destined for success or failure (Gibson, 2016). The power of positive thinking goes very far in achievement, believing in a positive outcome and working feverishly to achieve winning will be a gradual propellant towards success. Besides, my work ethic has to back it up as well; it is easy to always believe in progress but giving the belief the maximum effort serves as a basic requirement to succeed. I have first to think that I will not fail which is a positive effort then support that no-fail outlook with my work ethic (Langat, 2015). I am the determinant of how my perspective looks, but I must always be prepared for the outcome no matter how it seems. Secondly, I must be aware of my approach. I must always to strive to do the very best in my studies. All these are backed up by my ability to overcome adversity in my college studies hence determining my success or failure.
