Weekly Blog Activity: Ford and Taylorism
The activities are based on Ford and Taylorism which are depending upon how the call enters are able to move with the ideas with the explanation about the change in the method of production. Along with this, there are current changing methods to produce cars. The desire is mainly about the efficiency with the elimination of all the other unnecessary movement of the workers. This includes how the different tasks are assigned depending upon the capabilities and the strengths. The principle of time management is mainly to pay attention with increased productivity. The careful management of the parts and the placement is in the product that leads to involvement of the exercises to assess the different individual parts to auto-mobile from the smallest to the largest components. The implementation is based on the different parts where the inventory strategy is to build the introduction for the assembly line. The focus is on how the workers can work with the repeated processes which leads to the change in the assembly line with mass production.
Weekly Blog Activity: Thomas Friedman Globalisation
Thomas Friedman includes the clarifications for recounting the facts that how he could handle the outsourcing and the other business strategy which are for the global economic fields. The period is based on the resources which includes the barriers of the international borders, trading and the cross-cultural connections. The phase of globalisation is mainly to highlight about how the different techniques are used to collaborate and work towards the digital revolution of the power. The individual can create the digital content with the focus on ability to create and collaborate the decentralised networks. (Rasiah et al., 2015). The learning by Friedman is based on shifting from vertical to horizontal standards with human interaction to success in different competition. He also had the ability to learn and handle the power of imagination.
In the activity of Ford and Taylorism, the section mainly focus on the implementation with the Fayolism that is for the different organisational standards. With this, there are other advantages for the management of the theories and working towards handling the basis of the worker equality and their motivation with money.
In the second activity of globalisation, the focus is mainly on handling the different perspectives which are related to telecommunication systems with overarching the features. The integration includes how the different threats and opportunities increase with World Wide Web. The central logic is mainly concerned with the attributes that merge the strong countries and companies.
Week 1 Activity: Ford and Taylorism
A1: There are different issues which relate to the functioning of the ideas and how the activities are forecasted. For this, the focus is on:
- The scientific efficiency management which is based mainly on the time that has been taken for the different tasks. With this, the aim is on how to work towards the improvement of the efficiency of economics.
- The division of the larger tasks into smaller ones which are easy to be completed.
- The assembly line production. (Hurd, 2015).
- The increased wage structure need to handle the employees with the organisation working on the decreased production of time.
- The management of the workforce with the elimination from the different types of the trading unions. They are for the proper control and the management setup.
A2: It is not as per the requirement that the workers in Australia, America or Europe are working on accepting Taylorism with the forms that include the scientific management. It includes the less efficiency with the workers working on the good efficiency in the working place. The concept is related to how Taylorism is based on the workers based on the presumed level of the knowledge. The knowledge is based on the scripts that are being used for the call centres. The Taylorism is applied with providing the call centres workers with appropriate responses. The suggestion is that the workers have not been able to determine properly about the effective responses for the different queries. It also includes the customers with the parts that are being used for the different organisation, presently. This includes the companies like Ford, Mercedes etc., which work on implementing the assembly lines with the proper scientific management and decreased size of the tasks. The implementation is found to be for the increased productivity and the results are obtained with the scientific management theory of Taylor. The implementation is also found to be zoomed up with the production process that is mainly not to get through meeting the milestones with producing the cars at the peak levels. (Battersby, 2014).
A3: The clip has been mainly for the industries around the globe which needs to work on the judicious applications for the different ideas. The foundation is based on Woking over the scientific management where there are principles related to the long lasting effects. The division of the work, with the rewards for the hard work of the employees, and the simple production techniques is based on how the start up ventures are set up with the correct applications and the utilisation processes. This includes that there is no guarantee of the current age with success.
Week 2 Activity : Thomas Friedman on Globalisation; 3 Eras of Globalisation; World is flat
A1: As per the analysis, Friedman, Flat world is one of the platforms where there are no barriers or the people can easily work on the communication. Along with this, there is easy cooperation and the collaboration in the different sectors which leads to certain disadvantage or the hazards of the living as well. It is mainly related to the world of Globalisation 3.0 where the discussion is based on:
- The business ethics with the reduction of the organisation freedom. It includes the costs of the multinational company with the shifts for the development of the country to reduce the costs. (Uddin et al., 2015).
- There are different people who have been working on the different thoughts.
- There are no set boundaries where the people can work on the fact that one can do whatever they wish to. This will lead to the creation of their rules for the trading.
A2: The agreement is based on how the Friedman iron rule is applied when the world works towards the Flat platform. This can be done through the use of the advancement of different new technologies where the people can work and do whatever they wish to. Here, the example is based on the Southwest Airline who wants to start the website for the people who can go online and work towards the downloading and printing of the forms with the better pass for the bar code. The individuals also need to handle the ticket agent so that the people can easily change and learn the new things. The globalisation is mainly related to how the people are working on the technology to get access for the unmediated stated. The super-empowering people with the permanent members of the people is for the good and the ill. The anti-globalisation movement is considered a problem with the coalition to handle the degree which can lead to empowering of the individuals.
A3: The globalisation is based on working over the cultural homogenization with the broader transformation in the different ways. This leads to the convergence in thinking like the global integration with the production of massive convergence in economic and the institutional standards. The issues need to focus on the wide reaching global integration with the reduced focus on the translational standards that affect the diversity of ways. The globalisation works with the cultural mode with the networking power mainly based on the rise of the global pop culture. (Hurd, 2015).
The blog for Ford and Taylorism is related to the management theory with the principles related to the productivity of the individual workers. It works on the enhancement of the assigned tasks that are suited with the personalised capabilities and strengths. The achievements are through the elimination of all the unnecessary forms of the physical movement that are done by the workers. (Sinha et al., 2016).
The second case is about handling the globalisation with views related to Thomas Friedman of globalisation with proper organisation of the degree which is set for the empowerment of the individuals.
