1. A research done by Susan& Kitty which constituted seventy-one families shown that the aspect of the dual-career family lifestyle is becoming common nowadays with a considerable number of women joining most of the countries workforce. In correlation with this study, dual-earning families have great challenges since the women are being exposed to a new lifestyle which makes it hard to reach families when the two spouses are employed. This dual earning lifestyle has exposed women to jobs which require high-quality Education and great commitment thus making it hard for them to combine their carrier and family or household chaos (Tammelin, 2015). These have presented unique challenges resulting from socialization, conflicts in work and family role conflicts. In this case, the man tries explicitly to resolve some of the difficulties which emanate from these criteria as he differentiates his roles and the roles of his wife (Strong & Cohen, 2013). Generally, the man is used to be the head of the family, earns money and has high power to control the family and not used to household and home keeping roles. In this case of dual-earning, despite the man having skills, he will be seen participating in these roles which in the normal situation were made for women.  

2. The Family violence can be discussed in relevance to the nested ecological model which deduces five systems to talk about family violence. This model explains some theories which include the feminist argument, Family system theory and attachment theory. In this context, the Feminist and the Family theory apply to this task.

The Family system theory according to Bowen is a system where each member had a role to play and rule to respect and every individual has to respond to them accordingly. It deduces boundaries which each member has to follow with specific agreements (Strong & Cohen, 2013). Therefore for the case of Jane and Joe, it seems that Jane was beaten after violating the rules or going beyond the boundaries of the family by Joe.

The feminist theory argues about inequality by stating the gender roles. It points out the gender inequality and tries to explore the objectification, stereotyping and oppression in relevance to gender (Anderson, 2014). The aspect of Jane being beaten by Joe might have resulted from any of the above issues which integral values are contributing to inequality in gender.
