Discuss about the Film Review of Baby Day Out.
Introduction:
Baby’s Day Out is one of the most popular movies from the genre of comedy that gained huge success and popularity in the Asian countries. Richard Vane and John Huges produced the film, and the director of the film is Patrick Read Johnson. However, the film did not do quite a good business in the United States, and the box office collection was only about $16.8 million (Ebert, 1994).
Summary of the Film:
The film revolves around the story of a baby boy being kidnapped and the roller coaster ride that follows. The film promotes a tagline, "born to go wild" which is perfectly apt with the story of the film. It is all about the kidnapping of baby Bink, son of a millionaire by three kidnappers who comes in the mansion as photographers (Johnson et al., 2016).
The main characters of the film are Eddie, Veeko and Norby who are in real life, Joe Mantegna, Brain Haley and Joe Pantoliano respectively. Other characters include Larine Cotwell, who plays the mother of the baby, Baby Bink, Glibertine, Mr. Andrews and few others. Among this, the character Joe is quite interesting who leads the whole kidnapping plan (Johnson et al., 2016).
The genre of the film is comedy and the strength of the movie is a perfect comic timing. The negativity of the film can be its reproduction of some scenes from, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." The sound track is perfectly apt with the movie's plot since the songs are of light-comical spirit. The film conveys the message of the absurdity of situations.
Conclusion:
The film is a humorous one and can be enjoyed by teenagers as well as people of all age.
