The research is the method of finding some information on the research topic by doing survey, data collection, data analysis, and by getting the result of the research paper. A research proposal is the coherent and the concise summary of the proposed research. Here the proposed research is to the organizations that have online shopping stores and also they face a huge number of daily visitors in their online shopping stores. The main problem that is faced by the organization is that their sales performance is decreasing rapidly. This is the main and the important reason for the organization to perform a survey research so that they are able to understand the reason behind the decrease in the sales performance. The paper is about the proposal research survey to enable the organization move further with research study. This proposal will help the organization to get a view of the research paper and the research work for their organization and the issue faced by the organization. The proposal is made so that the readers will be able to understand the research and also the strategy that is enable for the study.
This section reflects as the objective of the paper that allows an individual to continue their research in order to bring possible positive outcomes (Jann and Hinz, 2016). Moreover, the question states that: "why the sales of the organization are decreasing and the negative visitor response are increasing?” The entire research study will be based on this research question and this will help the researcher to prepare their survey question so that the information gathered and analyzed give the result for the research question. As per the psychology, the research question is the main and the basic question of the research paper that need to be answered by the entire research paper (Lewis, 2015). This is the initial step of the research study that enables the researcher to continue their research paper and the findings of the paper will as per the research question.
The aim of research design is to create a framework, the plan and strategy for the study. This allows the researcher to recognize what theory they are able to use and to continue the data collection for the study (Creswell and Poth, 2017). Research design contains the procedure of data collection, research sampling methods and so on. The research study can be designed in two ways such as Quantitative and Qualitative design. A quantitative research design is mainly the scientific investigation method of research design as this contains the mathematical and statistical method (Creswell, 2013). With the help of quantitative design, the investigator is able to obtain the mathematical result of the investigated study. Qualitative research design is the descriptive design that deals with the explanation and the communication of the participants for the study. By the help of this investigated study, the researcher will be able to understand the participant's value due to the descriptive nature of the study design. The design is the very first approach to the study (Sekaran and Bougie, 2016). Now in this study, the qualitative research design will be used to understand the issue of sales and also to understand the thoughts and feelings of the customers regarding the online shopping and the products of the company. To analyze the collected data the research design need to be perfect for the research study so that the customers are able to provide their adequate information to the researcher. Here the researcher will make the research design as per the qualitative research design and will continue with the research study (Yin, 2013). It is very important for the researcher to understand the emotion and the feeling of the participants to analyze their information to get the result for the research study.
In the research paper, the total population of the area is incapable to use for the survey and for that the sampling process is used. This is the process of limiting the population of the city into a group who will represent the entire population (Nardi, 2015). By the help of the sample study, the researcher will be able to analyze the real reason for the decrease in the sales for the company. There is two type of sampling techniques; non-probability and probability sample that help the researcher to select the participants for the research study (Flick, 2014). Probability sample technique provides the equal chance to the entire population to become participants but non-probability sample technique does not provide this. For the case study, the researcher here will use the random sampling technique which is a probability sampling technique so that the population of the entire area receives the fair chance of getting selected as the participants of the research study. This is the best research sampling design for this case study as most of the people prefer to do shopping from online stores. This will help the researcher to understand the thoughts of the population for the decline of the online sales of the organization. With the sampling technique, the sample size is also important for the research study, as the researcher is unable to take data of the entire population. So the sample size of the organization is 100 participants as per the research study (Fowler Jr., 2013). These 100 participants will be served with the research question so that the researcher is able to analyze the problem or the issue with the help of the information that is provided by the respondents for the study.
Data collection is the method of collecting the information about the research study from the respondents of the research survey. Data can be divided in two types; they are primary data and secondary data (Mertens, 2014). Primary data are the one that are collected from the interview, survey, communication and so on. This data are also known as the raw data because these are the first-hand data that the researcher gets directly from the participants. Whereas, secondary data are the data that researcher collects from the previously collected data, or from the journal or from any internet sources. Primary data are appropriate and accurate data for the analysis of the data but secondary data are not always correct as this data can be altered. Here in the research study, the researcher uses primary data for the data analysis so that the result is appropriate and accurate for the research study. The researcher is able to collect the primary data with the help of the research question and personal interview. This allows the researcher to understand the problem and the issue of the people that they are not investing money in buying a product from the online store of the organization (Miles, 2013). To analyze the data more accurately, the researcher uses the qualitative data method that is the participants will be able to provide their information in term of description. This will help the researcher to clearly understand the issue for decreasing sales of the company.
Here the researcher needs to observe the participants and their reaction also to understand the situation and also to provide the best analysis result for the research study (Orkin, 2014). To collect the appropriate data from the research question or by using the questionnaires the researcher needs to develop a good design questionnaire so that the participants are able to provide an accurate and appropriate answer for the research study. It is important for the researcher to understand the research topic and prepare the survey question as per the research topic so that the people or the participants are able to provide the best and the accurate solution for the research survey question (Bryman and Bell, 2015). Data collection is the main process of research survey because this only will allow the research to further analyze the data and also find out the result from the analysis data. So the researcher needs to create their plan in such a way that the data or the information gathered for the survey is correct and precise for the research study (Stanek, 2016).
Research ethics are the some of the rules and regulation that help the researcher to perform their survey ethically (Cleary, 2014). This helps the researcher to maintain the right code of conduct for the survey. The ethical issue is the problem that is formed at the occasion of the survey or the issues that may be formed in survey due to the respondents or the researcher. The ethical issues in the investigated study arise due to the lack of confidentiality of the researcher, security issue for the participants and the data provided by the participants, and lots more. The issue may occur for any reason in the research study so to maintain the research ethics the researcher need to give full respects to the choice of the participants and also they should allow the participants the option to pull out from the survey whenever they want. The ethical issues in the research study also occur due to the misconduct of the researchers and unethical behavior of the researcher (Marshall, 2013). Here in this research study, it is very much important for the researcher to understand the situation of the location and the participants and use the ethics as per the need of the situation. This will help the researcher to maintain the code of co0nduct in the research survey and also the participants will be easily able to provide their information on the survey (Schäfer, 2017). The researcher also needs to make sure that the information they are collecting from the survey are all kept in confidential so that the participants feel easy to provide their views on the research topic. This is very much important for the researcher to gain the trust of the participants so that they feel free to provide information for the research survey.
Anticipated Data Analysis
The data analysis is the process of analyzing the collected information and figure out the appropriate result for the research study. Data analysis also helps the researcher to highlight the issue that is present in the organization for the online shopping sales (Liamputtong, 2013). This is vital for the research study to know the surroundings of the research study and also to outline the real crisis of the research topic. This mainly helps the researcher to relate the theories of the literature review and the findings or the end result of the research topic so that it can be evaluate. As this is the proposal for the study so it can be said that the data analysis of the research study will provide the real reason for the decrease in the sales performance of the online shopping stores and also this will show the reason for the increase in the negative response of the visitors on the website of the organization online shopping stores (Patten, 2016). Data analysis is done on the information that is gathered from the survey from the questionnaires. This is expected that the data analysis will demonstrate the positive response for the investigation and for that the organization will be able to improve their faults and also be able to change their strategy as per the need of the customers. Data analysis is the main process to get the result for the research study and also this helps the researcher to provide the evaluation to the organization so that they are able to rectify their issues and grow their sales performance in the online market.
Results or the findings are the main and the principal outcome of the research study. This is the main part of the research study that allows the researcher and the organization to maintain their strategy and their sales performance as per the result of the findings of the research study (Panneerselvam, 2014). To result or the findings from the data analysis of the survey will help the researcher to answer the research question because this research is purely based on the decrease of the sales performance and for that it will help the researcher to get the appropriate result for the research study and also it will help the organization to maintain their sales performance. But as this is a research proposal so the expected result for the research study is that most of the people are not getting the standard quality of a product or the product color or size different and there can be much reason. The people or the customers when ever buy products from online always want that they get the best product with reasonable price so that they do not have to bargain with the vendors and also they are able to get a maximum number of discounts on the products (Gast and Ledford, 2014). This could be the expected result of the research study as people are very particular for buying their products online and they did many types of research on different online shopping stores before buying the products from one of the stores. So from the result, it will become clear that why the organization is facing the decline in sales after they have a huge number of visitors almost every day.
This result or the findings will provide the accurate reason for the problem or the issue that is faced by the organization. The result will be based on the questionnaires that the researcher will take for the personal interview of the participants and for that the result or the conclusion of the research study will also be the wonderful to get the answer for the question that the research paper did in the beginning. The study from the questionnaires will be able to achieve the preferred results for the research study. This will help the researcher to get the appropriate reason for the decrease in the sales performance of the organization. The expected result of the research study is that the customers are getting benefits from other online shopping stores and for that, they are not shopping anything from the organization online shopping stores (Smith, 2015). The researcher will be able to understand the problem and also this will help them to provide a solution for the problems that are faced by the organization. The result will also show the main reason for the issue and also the fault of the firm. With the help of the survey, the business will have the ability to maintain their issue and troubles and also change their plan as per the need of the customers. The result will be displayed by the researcher on the research study after the completion of the survey and data analysis, this is the best way for the organization to find out the real reason of the issue or the problem that is faced by the organization.
The paper concludes that the research study will be carried out on almost 100 participants and also the data will be all primary data. So that it becomes easier for the researcher to analyze the data and get the appropriate result for the research study. The researcher also faces the ethical issue at the time of the research survey and this occurs due to the lack of confidentiality of the researcher, security issue for the respondents and the data provide by the participants, and so on. In this research study, the qualitative research design will be used to understand the issue of sales and also to understand the thoughts and feelings of the customers regarding the online shopping and the products of the corporation. The research proposal is the sketch of the research paper that the business will execute to understand the issues. The association will be able to get the entire detail of the research paper summary in the research proposal which will help them to understand the research study process and procedures.
