The purpose of this group project is to develop students’ skills in applying relevant event project management tools. This will enable students to apply learned event management concepts to a ‘real world’ scenario within a safe learning environment. More importantly, this is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop essential group work skills that are such a necessity in today’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry.

Purpose is to provide school children of India with school equipments
Theme is based on food
Location is in the four cities in Australia
Vendors
Local vendors so that they can assist in understanding the requirement of the local people
Vendors such as event management people that provide necessary materials for setting up events like chairs and supporting elements can be considered
The amount spend for the vendors can be $750
Volunteers
Local children and security for maintaining order in the event
Celebrity people can be drafted in to provide impetus to the event
The amount spend on volunteers can be $1500
Human Resource
Assistance from the local people, preferably children.
Assistance can be gained from the group members organising the event
Reputed chefs and NGOs can be drafted in to support the event
$1500 can be spend on human resource
Insurance
Support from Government of Australia so that the event can be supported in a proper manner
The amount required for insurance is about $1200
