There are certain key facts of the incident that has made the incident one of the near-missed fatal incident of the recent times.

It caused a major impact upon the stakeholders

The incident type was a fire breakout from a dryer at a hotel in Yass, Australia. There were no fatal injury as the fire control team with three fire control and rescue trucks made the whole situation under control and saved the lives of both the guests who were in the hotel as well as the staff member of the hotel who were working in it in all the departments. 

Parties to the incident

There were no such victims of the incident as the place was evacuated within the specified time period by the staff of the hotel. Moreover, the fire department reached the hotel within the specified time period making the whole process of fire control easier and less time consuming. 

Was the incident foreseeable

  The incident was absolutely not foreseeable as the according to the staffs and the managers of the hotel, the dryer that was the source of the fire was in a perfect working condition with no hint or implication that the dryer would cause fire in the hotel premises.

Consequences or impact of the incident to all parties

The impact of the fire case was differently on the various kinds of parties in the fire case. The impact of the incident was medium to low on the various parties associated with it. The two parties associated with it are hotels and the customers who are impacted in two different ways. Due to the fire sourced from the dryer, the part of the hotel adjacent to the room could have been subjected to serious damage. Due to the prompt action of the staffs, the majority portion could be saved from the debacle (Boyle, 2015). 

The hotel suffered minor losses in the overall incidents with no causalities reported both from the customer as well as the staff end. The customers were also not that effected in the overall incident as the fire did not reach the portions of the hotel that the customers were using which made the customers get least affected by the overall fire incident that affected the hotels as well as the customers of the hotel (Reason, 2016). The consequences of the fire resulted in making the hotel more prone to safety measures and imply some of the basic protective and anti-hazards measures that made the overall activity of the hotels more prone to safety

The review and monitoring of the task should be done after the whole process of the task have been done so that the further same consequences can be handled with prior basis. In addition, the monitoring of the task should be done so that the future risks associated with the same kind of situation is made under control and given approximate measures to eliminate the threat associated with it (Hopkin, 2017).

?Substitution – Replacement of a hazardous element or object with something that is safer compared to the former. The method of substitution is the second most important method in the whole matter

?Engineering Control – This method does not prevent hazards but eliminate the people from venturing into hazardous situations. Implementing good engineering costs to the implementation of the safety is definitely the third method in the case.

?Administrative Control – The changing of the way of working for the people by using safer and easy to use means is definitely one of the major ways in which the administrative control can be implied. ?Personal Protective Equipment’s – Every person should possess some of the basic protective equipment that can be used for their personal safety when in times of need. The importance of such a kind of equipment though is immense in personal use, serves no concrete results for the overall risk management.

Applicable for the case 

Taking the help of the Risk Control Hierarchy, the risk management of the hotel could have been done in a number of ways. The process and ways in which the hierarchy of the risk control is to be applied can be stated in the various ways.

The hotel can eliminate the various risk causing elements and can also make sure that each of the elements that can cause of the amount of danger should be physically checked and cross checked so that the risk allocated for the same can be ignored.
