Introduction
Reflective journal is defined as a personal record of a student, in which the learning and progress of the student is recorded. In a reflective journal, the student can reflect on the learning process as well as observations that are used to improve the learning ability of the student. The importance of reflective journal lies in the fact that it could be used for enhancement of the future skills of the student. This assignment is a reflection of a business research proposal taken up on the significance and importance of the social networking on the business. While doing this research proposal, various academic skills have been used and implemented, thus enhancing the chances of career enhancement. This reflective journal is significant since it highlights the skills that are necessary academic and technical skills. Moreover, the skills that needs enhancement are also highlighted in this reflection. Reflective journals are significant, as they broaden the scope of improvement for future projects. The mistakes once committed are improved, such that they are not repeated again.
Learning reflection
The learning experience that I had while successfully completing the business research proposal was an essential experience for me. Preparing a business research proposal successfully resulted in enriching my writing skills as well as research skills. First, when I had finalized my topic of the business research, I had engaged myself into in-depth research on the specific domain. I choose the topic of impact of social networking on the business. While searching for relevant literature, I found many books and peer reviewed journals. However, most of them were not focused on the specific topic. The books and journals that were relevant to the specific topic was outdated. Thus, in order to find out the maximum number of relevant journals, and gain in-depth knowledge, I read the journals and books. Thus, my comprehensive skills were enhanced since I had to read a good number of articles and understand the perspective of the authors. Thus, the first advantage and enhancement that I experienced was in the comprehensive skills. My skills of research were also enhanced. I learned how to identify the most appropriate article amongst a lot of similar articles. Thus, this learning experience is helpful for me and will be used in future as well. As I started the business research proposal, my writing skills were enhanced. This is because, I have to review the articles for literature review and present the perspective of the other eminent authors. As I presented their views, I have identified the key points only. I was able to highlight the central theme and focus on the conclusions drawn by the authors. I learned about the significance of the use of social networking in the business organizations. The advantages of the social networking sites have been realised, along with the clear understanding of how these sites assist in achieving success and enhancement in business. The value of this experience is high in my life. I can use these learning and experience to develop my academic skills that will pave way for the professional skills as well.
The learning experience will be useful for me in future learning programs. Moreover, in future, my career will be enhanced as I will be able to use the writing skills as well as the comprehensive skills. Moreover, these learning will enhance my professional skills as well. Apart from my career and academics, the communication skills that have been enhanced with the learning experience will help me in my life in general. Communication skills are essential in any field of life and hence enhancements in the communication skills are always useful. I have learned effective communication and the importance of communication has been realised by me. This newly gained knowledge could be transferred for future insights as well. I have enriched myself in the domain of the research and use the gain knowledge in my future career.
The learning process was an elaborate one. It consisted of using all the elements of learning which includes reading, seeing as well as hearing. I read many books and peer reviewed journals and this enhanced by comprehensive and understanding skills. I saw the available materials online and gained knowledge that created a platform for me to continue with further research. Moreover, I also heard the lectures given in the class and gained adequate knowledge for the success of the research project.

I have gained knowledge regarding the significance of the use of social networking in the business organizations. The advantages that are presented by the social networks include the insight of the information about the business, along with establishing a closer relation with the customers. Moreover, the advertisement and promotion of the business are enhanced with the use of social networking sites. I have understood that the effective use of the social networks could enhance the business to a significant amount. The sales of business organizations are observed to be enhanced with the effective use of the social networking sites. By taking up this business research, I have realized that a customer in social media often shares the total customer experience. Thus, connecting with the customers in the social media is beneficial for the company. The social media could also be used by the business organizations to understand the strengths of the competitors as well as the promotional strategies of them. Thus, I have gained knowledge about the importance of the social network and the specific advantages that they have on the business organization. The business research has a special significance in my learning process, as I am able to learn effectively by completing the project on business research. While I learned, I got to make new connections. Since the primary data was collected using the process of interview, hence my communication skills also got enhanced. While I interviewed the participants, I realised the areas of improvement in my communication skills. Hence, along with gaining experience and enhancement of various skills, I made new and significant connections also.
The subject that I took up for research is a modern trend in the business world. With the increase in the popularity of the social networking sites, the business organizations have been using this media as a platform of promotion and advertisement to reach the customers better. Moreover, the study is also related to my field of study, and will be useful for me in future. Thus, the business research proposal has a key significance as well as relevance in my career.
